Cristina Vee is a Los Angeles based voice actress, director, and producer. In animation, she is known as Sailor Mars in Sailor Moon, Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins, Killua in Hunter x Hunter, Miki Makimura in Devilman Crybaby, Xochi in Victor and Valentino, Jay-Ten in Steven Universe, and Marinette Dupain Cheng aka Ladybug in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.
Master Daniel Pesina is a Chicago based martial artist and fight choreographer that has been studying martial arts continuously since 1970. He is perhaps most famous for his work in the Mortal Kombat game series, for which he was the original capture model for characters Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and more.
Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez is the creator of La Borinquena, an Afro-Latina Puerto Rican graduate student at Columbia who is gifted the powers of superhuman strength, flight, and control of storms by the Taino gods Atabex, Yúcahu, and Juracan. Wreathed in a costume based on la bandera, La Borinquena has saved Puerto Rico in not only her own series, but in Ricanstruction: Reminiscing & Rebuilding Puerto Rico, a collaboration with DC that raised funds for Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
Animated Lola is an Afro-Latina, New York based cosplayer, who has been involved in the cosplay community since 2013. Her passion for cosplay started in law school as a means of distraction from the rigid structure of reading and writing every day. She is a proud page rep for the “CosplayOfColor” instagram account that showcases POC cosplayers, and has chosen to cosplay many traditional and non-traditional POC characters to show the ongoing need for diverse characters throughout the community.
Brooklyn born Haitian American Greg Anderson El'ysee is the writer and creator of Is'nana the Were-Spider, a dark fantasy comic book series that interpets African, Afro-Carribean lore and culture. His recent works also include Marassa and the Gentleman.
Will Torres has worked professionally in the comic book industry for over 20 years and is the creator/writer/artist on his self-published comic books MR.VENTURE, KILLBORG and his upcoming title THE SAINT OF ASSASSINS. Torres has provided art for publishers Titan (The Official Walking Dead Magazine contributing artist), Dynamite Entertainment (Red Sonja #5 Spotlight artist and Bettie Page/Vampirella 50th Anniversary trading cards sketch card artist), and Marvel Comics.
The Philadelphia Avengers is a tri-state based cosplay group who came together for their love of cosplay, charity work and promoting the importance of cospositivity and anti-bullying. They have cosplayed for hospitals, schools, children’s charities, shelters and more.
Jorge Garza, (aka Qetza) is an artist from Northwest Indiana, best known as a t-shirt designer for various bands and brands. Jorge also has his own online shop selling his original designs. Currently he is working on an art book (Aztec/Pop Culture Series) and recently finished his horror comic book , “Wrath of the Giver”. Jorge’s work starts from pencil sketches that are scanned and reworked in Photoshop using a drawing tablet and his work ranges from simple to highly detailed pen and ink.
Alvaro Rodriguez is executive producer/co-creator of Seis Manos, a Netflix original adult-animated series, currently in production in cooperation with Powerhouse Animation and Viz Media. . He wrote and performed music for Robert Rodriguez’s breakthrough film El Mariachi and began writing screenplays with Robert including the features Shorts (2009) and Machete (2010).
Queen & Rook Game Cafe is now open at 607 S. 2nd Street at the site of the former Hikaru restaurant. They promise a game library of more than 1,000 new and vintage board games, a retail section, easy to share plates, local drafts and a full liquor license. This will be hosting board games and demos throughout the day!
Professor Frederick Luis Aldama is a University Distinguished Scholar at Ohio State University and teaches courses in the departments of English, Spanish & Portuguese, and Film Studies on and Latinx* & Latin American cultural phenomena, including literature, film, TV, music, sports, video games, and comic books. He will be hosting a screening of his latest documentary, "Latinx Superheroes in Mainstream Media" at Nerdtino Expo 2019!

Father Evil comes from the creative mind of Lou Avilleira. He first came up with the idea of the Holy Father in 2009 for a Halloween party. He received such positive feedback from his character that he decided to take it a little further. Starting out at Chiller Theatre as one of many costumed horror fans, he soon rose above as one of the best. Father Evil is now well known amongst the horror community with an extensive fan following.
